4 track cassette to logic pro

It might take some rigging to get four outs from the four track, you will probably not have dedicated track outs. You for sure have two with the stereo L/R main outs, if you also have a stereo monitor mix or a couple mono aux's you can get all four tracks that way. It's possible you do not...

lol anyone who saw Mr Bungle in like 1989? That band has been so ripped off for so long it doesn't even matter but c'mon, even the clown outfits?

Building a PA for mostly studio sound

You don't need a PA, you need a properly tuned set of drums and a drummer who knows how to play them. If dude can't fill a 530 square foot room with a good sounding, balanced, loud-as-you-could-possibly-want, drum sound you need another guy. Or at the very least you need someone to teach him...

DBX Driverack as speaker sim/DI ?

A Driverack is a crossover, a couple different EQ's, a compressor, a limiter, an RTA, a feedback zapper, and a disco boom box. While it was designed to tune a FOH system you can use those functions to do any number of things. I use one as the front end to my bass rig, making use of the EQ...

Homemade Long Runs of Speaker Cable for PA Wire Gauge? Brand? Thoughts?

Something 12 gauge that is both sturdy and flexible. This stuff is fine: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] 69 cents a foot, 60 if you need more than 300 feet.

Homemade Long Runs of Speaker Cable for PA Wire Gauge? Brand? Thoughts?

Again, go to a big show sometime. You will see speaker cable runs well over 100 feet all the time. They don't put a separate amp rack on either side of a 75 foot wide stage and then two more 50 feet up in the air. You can run 80' of 12 gauge cable in to an 8 ohm load and expect a power loss...

Homemade Long Runs of Speaker Cable for PA Wire Gauge? Brand? Thoughts?

Real sound systems use 100' or more runs all the time, they aren't flying the amp rack up in to the trusses. Use 12 gauge cabling and don't worry about it.

has anyone pink noised a fEARful?

I'm not joining that board. Is that hard to understand? You people clutter up threads all over talkbass with evangelizing and half informed nonsense. I do not want to participate in a message board discussion over there. The answer to my question was simple, and I got it a long time ago: no...

has anyone pink noised a fEARful?

I have indeed learned something about the whole endeavor. Very little about the speaker box itself, but some insight in to the surrounding culture.

has anyone pink noised a fEARful?

The amount defensiveness in this thread is pretty typical of the community that has sprung up around these things. Add to that the fact that I do not want to wade through countless posts from people who have just heard what what 40Hz actually sounds like for the first time telling me how this...

has anyone pink noised a fEARful?

By requiring people to register and make an introductory post and wade through the forum to get this information it is being assured that someone cannot get the data without also getting the pitch. From my point of view that's better than the data not being available at all and worse than the...
