Keep in mind that there is no pitch. The fEARful designs are absolutely free, all you have to do is download the plans and build one (or more).
Many builders have been so impressed with the result that they have made donations out of their own free will after the fact.
Green Boy does have other designs tht are only available through authorized builders, but the fEARful plans are FREE.

Quite right. I registered for the fEARful forum, because Greenboy asked me to check out one of the threads. It's completely benign. In fact I think it's preferable because it keeps our candid thoughts from being made "too public" in this day and age where everything you say on a forum goes into 1000 databases with all of your personal information.

The amount defensiveness in this thread is pretty typical of the community that has sprung up around these things. Add to that the fact that I do not want to wade through countless posts from people who have just heard what what 40Hz actually sounds like for the first time telling me how this is the most magic amazing life changing thing ever.

I don't want to be educated, I don't want to be convinced. I can listen to what my bass sounds like through a system that goes lower, louder, and cleaner than a fEARful anytime I want. I also know how to read a chart.

I just wanted to know if a measured frequency response plot was publicly available. The answer is somewhere between 'kinda' and 'no'. Got it.

You asked for charts. I gave you some charts. No one said anything about hearing 40hz for the first time. You're just here stirring the pot. You don't even have any interest in the charts you're looking for.

when I saw it in the thread list I thought the same thing. I've already deleted 2 other responses because it seems pointless.
It's stupid. Maybe one person here, someone who's building, has a reason to push the product (FREE PLANS) but no one else does.

Hilarious how the 'culture' has been defined because people are saying go look yourself. Personally I could not care less if anyone on this forum had a fFearful.

Meh. You asked if anybody had done it, and if charts existed. The answer was yes, along with how to get them. And then a bunch of grumbling about lack of hand delivery and accusations of "something to hide" ensued... nobody likes that kind of treatment, so of course some will grumble back.

Summary, in my own words/interpretation:

OP: Charts, do they exist?
Owners: Yeah, they're over there.
OP: I don't see 'em.
Owners: Register and login. Sorry, can't grab 'em for you at the moment.
OP: Well, I give up. There must not be any.
Owners: Uh... no, they're in there.
Someone Else: I don't see 'em either, and the place is a mess.
Owners: Just register and login, it's organized and you can search.
OP: But I don't wanna. Why won't somebody get them for me?
Owners: Just go get 'em, nobody can do it for you at the moment.
OP: Ya'll must be trying to hide something.
Owners: ???
Someone Else: Yeah, they're like some kind of cult or something.
Owners: No, we gave you guys some already a while back, they're already here somewhere. Just don't know where.
Someone Else: Seems cultish to me, too.
Owners: Fine, one of us took a moment to find one, here you go. If you want more, just go look. Nobody is hiding anything. You can even borrow our stuff to measure yourselves if you want.

Im also sick of all the bull $hit about the fEARful cross over. The design is free, and the location of the plans is transparent on the site. Its explained in great detail. How many other cabinet designers do that? Not many.
