I have indeed learned something about the whole endeavor. Very little about the speaker box itself, but some insight in to the surrounding culture.

That strangers might bristle at you a little if you ask them to provide you something, then declare them incapable of doing so if they choose to tell you where you can get it... rather than immediately drop everything they are doing to render prompt service for you with a smile?

Sounds like pretty much any "culture" I've ever heard of.

Very little about the box? I thought you said you knew how to read charts.

I'm not joining that board.

Is that hard to understand? You people clutter up threads all over talkbass with evangelizing and half informed nonsense. I do not want to participate in a message board discussion over there.

The answer to my question was simple, and I got it a long time ago: no one is willing to publicly step up and stand behind some solid measurements. If you want a variety of opinions from a variety of DIYers you can join a forum.

You people

We people? We slithy toves? Gotta watch for when the mome raths outgrabe.

Seems to me you have a startling amount of preconception and negativity dangling about.

Probably someone is willing to step up and stand behind some solid measurements. But you're simply not willing to go where it is to find out. The truth is out there. It's you that's not.

I can't believe I and everyone else got suckered into a troll thread.

You got your "solid measurements". They were spoon fed to you on the 2nd page of this thread.

You, sir, just became the first time I've ever wanted to use "Ignore".

Really?

"I don't frequent that sort of establishment. So one of you plebes needs to go in there and get something for me. Now."

"You filthy rats, always running around making your little noises. I don't like it."

So don't. Show up. Say hi, just to get past the spambot filter. Rummage through the cupboards, take whatever you want, and leave. Come back if you ever want more, you don't have to talk to any of the dirty people if you don't want to.

Either you came to that conclusion long ago, and started this solely for the trolly purpose of proving it, or you came to that conclusion in what... 6 hours or less?

Hardly reasonable.

I measured my fEarful 1515/66's response and got this:

fearfulfrequencyresponse.png

lololol

just to add something besides some lulz i'll say i was interested in seeing what a FR chart would look like too but i'm definitely not going to register at another forum and go searching for it...

but it doesn't matter that much to me because i'm perfectly happy with the amp and cabinet right now and i probably wouldn't spend the monies to build something else...

I'm finding modeled charts for the low end response but not broad band, measured, frequency response charts. Do they exist?

My understanding is that the measurements you are looking for will be published in the next issue of Bass Gear Magazine. The measurements will be performed using their standardized methodology and can be compared to other cabinets which they have reviewed.

I don't think it gets much better than that.:bassist:
