Your right Joebar, it's asking to much. But we play all over the southwest and every soundman we have ever worked with gives our guitardist time for a quick line check on his amp mic and then on his guitar synth that is going direct. But beyond that....no.

Back to playing full time and of course focusing on our usual variety format which includes tons of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kesha, Prince, Jesse, Rhianna, Beyonce....I think you are getting the picture. Looking for effects suggestions to cover some of this stuff. Thought maybe a basic Boss...

Took some time off from live music and haven't been around Talk Bass for a while. Back to playing full time and thought is was time. Not much has changed, great bunch.

Couldn't agree more with SurferJoe and Bassomatic....get another bass player to go with you and do a quick once over. Beyond that, ask around for who the best bass tech in town is [you should be taking the bass to him right after taking ownership anyway] and make an agreement with the shop that...

Even more so then basses, the choice would depend on what music I was going to play. If I was doing classic cover music.....Les Pauls all the way for me. Country music....Tele'.

I have started wearing suit jackets more an more lately. We are required to at our corporate gigs. Does create some problems when thumbing my bass. End of the sleeve gets hung up. I resisted at first, but......I don't care what kind of music you play.....get the hell out of that t shirt. :hyper:

Check out You Tube. Plenty of videos on there of guys showing what settings they use. Have fun!

Phalex is sorta spot on here. If you can notice 4-8 people leaving the problem is obvious, there isn't anyone there. I am pretty bullish on this one. With the advent of Facebook anyone can get people to come out to any show. But of course I am in a band [GRIND] that gives out free GRIND condoms...

Don't waste another minute on this band or this thread about this band. I live in a little town just south of you [Tucson] and there is such demand for bass players here, I can't imagine the Phoenix area doesn't have the same problem. Move on....ASAP! Post yourself on Craigslist, and go to some...
