Ditto. Japanese meant junk. The Chinese on the other hand seem to have learned from that and the build quality is way higher. I own more than a few Chinese basses and parts and have been surprised thus far.

I don't have apic handy but in 1970 i swapped my Tortise shell with a buddy who had a Blue P (With a racing stripe) that had a white one,and the result was as expected. White on white.
