    I'm using the apogee duet which supports running both audio from my bass and midi from a roland A-49 midi keyboard while charging the ipad at the same time.

    Rip, the app midimorphosis promises to do just that, and It's on sale this weekend for two bucks. Haven't bad the time to test it out yet, but the demos on youtube looks promising. Maybe anyone else in here has tried it and can tell how well it works with a bass.

    I tried removing and reinstalling jamup to see if that helped, but it didn't, so don't waste your presets trying that.
