I believe places are blowing out the griffin iconnect studio for $40 (sweet water) could be a good opportunity for people to get a decent cheap dock interface

iOS Bass Players Thread #6 - World Domination

I have watched animoog for quite some time now and it's unfortunate that MOOG seems to have abandoned this app.. No audiobus support which renders it nothing more than in interesting distraction in todays iOS landscape of Audiobus and Inter-App audio. Filtatron on the other hand has been brought up to speed just this month which is great... now maybe they are planning on updating Animoog???? Hope so.. for 1.99 on the iPhone maybe I'll just get it and hope they plan on updating the app.

Last weekend I ran my Jazz bass into a modeled version of the 800RB (JamUp Pro), and used my Zoom B9.1ut strictly as an effects unit, as opposed to using it for amp/cab modeling. Out front, it was the closest I've ever gotten to a true GK sound without actually using a GK rig, and when I kicked in the Zoom's Envelope Filter, there was only one word to describe how funky it sounded.
"Skanky."
While the effects in these apps are good, some of the realtime processing in actual floor units sound better.
Our guitarist also went amp less for the the first time in his life, running Ampkit on his MacBook, and using his iPad for his keys. His tone was simply amazing, and his biggest issue was only that he couldn't get his tube emulator to work with Mac AmpKit. I told him the easiest way to make that happen was to use BIAS on his iPad, and to run Sampletank on his MacBook. He's been fiddling with it for a few days, so I hope to hear what he has at rehearsal tonight. Should be fun.

If your guitarist has a Macbook tell him to try out MainStage 3.. the processing power of the Macbook will provide better results and if he is already open to using it onstage MainStage might sell him on the idea completely... he can run everything through MainStage... guitar, keys, vocals, etc...
That's what he wants to do, but he cannot link AmpKit to it due to it's not being able to handle DSPs. I do believe that's what he eventually wants to do. He just hasn't purchased the outboard gear yet to handle the routing. Baby steps.
I almost clicked the button for Bias, but I think I'd rather have the iPhone/Touch version. That's assuming the rumors about one coming is true.

From the reviews I've read, I'm still inclined to get one. Heck, I could use two of them, really. I wonder how I'd setup two of them, though. It would be nice if the one app that translates the bluetooth data to MIDI would allow multiple pedals.

Still learning my BlueBoard; works well for what I need; on-off of effects, changing effect chains, etc... I know I am not even scratching the surface here either.
