FWIW, my first thoughts on Bias.
Def worth $20...
UI is easy to deal with. Good job on that.
Overall it sounds pretty darn good. The limits will be my knob-turning skillz.
Works great with Jam UP. My Bias experiments fit nicely into the JamUp chain.
I'd like to see some other tube models (EF86, KT66, KT88/6550) and other mics.
I'd guess that some of those are in the pipeline for later.
Only thing I don't care for so far is that there seems to be some sort of reverby ambient
background thing going on in Bias that I haven't figured out how to get rid of as of yet.
It probably would enhance a guitar patch but I'd like to not have it for bass...

Not so pumped.
Didn't have a chance to try it with my bass, but with my guitar, there's something funny with attack transients. There's a sort of variable "click" and delay to the attack envelope, but not on every note. Perhaps my iPad2 doesn't have enough processing power?
More of a concern, is that the amp tones are VERY generic. The distinctive differences between a Twin Reverb, Deluxe Reverb and Tweed Deluxe just aren't there, at least in the base presets.
Going a little deeper, the basic Fender tone stacks aren't properly represented. The base settings for the "Tweed Deluxe" are all wrong: it defaults to push-pull and a big GZ34 rectifier, there's no option for a single-knob tweed tone stack, there's no 12AY7 option for the splitter, etc., etc., etc.
There's a certain amount of geeky fun (at least for an amp tech like myself) to fool around with bias, etc., but after tweaking the Tweed Deluxe as close to my beloved 5E3 as the app allows, it still doesn't do a very good job of capturing the tone or dynamic feel of the real thing.
The bass amp selection looks a bit dismal, too. The lack of a B-15 is quite the oversight. We won't even talk about the fact that the SVT has an all 12AX7 preamp and 6L6's for the output. Or that the only preamp tube options are 12AX, 12AT and 12AU. Or that the only power tubes are 6L6, 6V6, EL 34 and EL 84...

Try turning off the room effect, it helps.
But there's still something quirky going on, even with it off.
What kind of iPad are you running it on?

I cold booted it and that might have helped some too.
I'm getting pretty good sounds with the Blueline, Orange, and acoustic sims, but I need more time with it.

As you might know I've been the beta tester for Bias, actually I might have been the only one for bass. Not sure.
Regarding the guitar heads. Well, that is not my "problem", I can't play the guitar, I do not own a guitar.
So here is what I feel I can say.
1) Steve. There are more bass amps on the tap. Use your imagination and you will know which ones.
2) When I've tested an early build the bass amps where not ready. So I used the Hiwatt 103, messed with the filters in the preamp, poweramp, changed tone stack and iron. I've got great tone out of it.
The bass amps appeared not long time ago, 3 weeks maybe. From back them to now PG did great job making them to what they are now.
As you guys commented here, regarding tubes, tone stacks, etc, I've sent PG long list of various issues and lacking features. I've also recommended to release only the bass amps which are assumed to be optimal.
6550 tubes, was one of my comments, as all the 3 tube bass amps have these tubes. I told PG that bass players are MUCH more into the tech of an amp then guitar players, lol, and that we know what is a 6L6 tube and what is a 6550 tube.
3) The room mode, it is per default on 50%. My recommendation was 25% max.
4) There are other issues, like a tube preamp in the GK800 and other SS amps I've tested.
So, many of this issues are reported and I'll assume that PG will improve this points as time goes. One of the things I really hope to see is the 6550 tubes.
5) One can make a very good bass amp out of the keyboard amp! My guess is that it is based on the SWR.
6) The Hiwatt 103 can be turned into a bass beast as well.
My final verdict, the app is very young, but I think the tone is already better then Jamup, certainly the SVT Blue Line and the AD200

Coming from a solid state background, it could be a 2x4 tube and I wouldn't know the difference. LOL
Hi All...I am unable to get any signal out of Bias at all. Jamup XT Pro is working just fine so I don't believe it to be a problem with my setup. I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks...
Make sure that you allowed Bias to "Access the Microphone"...

Having some minor issues with Jamup since today's update. I've had to restart several times to get a signal to it. Only started doing it after I updated.
I had the wrong input channel selected in Bias but I thank you for the response! Everything is working so I can finally check this out...
Good to know but I wasn't going to update since this seems to be mostly for BIAS compatibility.
I haven't bought bias yet.....I will very soon...

Much more favourable impression after trying Bias w/my bass.

There are 4 bass amps, well actually 5 if you use the keyboard amp which is a bit like the SWR tone wise.
The internals are split into para EQ, preamp, tone stack, poweramp, transformator, para EQ and cab/ mic
There are several adjustment possibilities on each module. For Steve R there could be more, for he average bass player it is about perfect.
The AD200 doesn't have its own cab, so PG use the Ampeg 6x10 cab with it. The Fender have actually 2 cabs, a 2x10 and a 8x10 one.
The two most primitive amps, the SVT and the AD sound very good, better then the Jamup ones. They sound even better if/ when PG add 6550 tubes to Bias.
The Fender sounds good, more open the the Jamup one, the GK 800 is also nice and open but lack this GK thing from the boost channel, I think the Jamup unit have some strong points where Jamup GK800 is a bit better.
