The Ric Cheyenne in my avatar is the only Ric bass I've kept long term. I have owned a couple of late 70's 40001's, and 3 more 4003's over the years. All gone. Currently only own 2 basses, the green 4004Cii, and a Fender Deluxe P bass from 2002. I could not choose one over the other.

Just dropping in, as it's been a long while. Happy to still be in love with my Walkabout head. And, still have it paired with a GB Uber 212 cab. And still amazed with the sound, (and volume). At home, I run a stereo board into Walkabout left, and M3 Carbine right. The two amps pair so freaking...

Thanks, that was as detailed a chorus shootout as I've ever read. I went through so many chorus pedals a few years back, so many, and all so different. Wound up with a T Rex Bass Chorus, stereo, and though it's fairly simple, it has all I want, without that annoying chorus hiss you sometimes...

HUGE *1 to the above post. Noise gates are a band-aide fix. Find and eliminate the source of the noise. Power supply? What are you using. +1 again on the amps loop.

I just got mine, after buying the first version twice. The + solves my biggest issue with the original, losing effects to use in the loop. Love the delay, and all three mod effects, and expression control is the icing. Also, having control over threshold, attack and decay makes the actual effect...

EQD does the Afterneath, and Transmisser. Either one may do what you want. I must admit to being a huge Earthquaker fan, for full discloser.

Totally addicted to pedals. I have a "main" board, tuner, compressor, o/d, boost, and looper- which feeds into a "control;" board, double bypass loop/buffer and Modfactor, (all stereo), then two larger boards, one in each of the loops. Those two boards have all the fun stuff- filters, fuzzes...

You have just discovered the WA's limitation. The stock 4 ohm 112 is not enough to handle the amps 300 watts. A 4 ohm 2x12 is better suited to the job. Or, any larger spkr cab you like. I've always thought it would be smarter to get the 8 ohm combo, but then they can't market it as a 300 watt combo.

Wish I would've hung on to mine, but instead I sold it when you were lucky to get $1000 for a 5 stringer.

The P is a great choice. In fact, just learned from a Fender Rep yesterday, Fender introduced the Jazz bass in 1960 to COMPETE with the Ric. There's nothing else, really, like a good Precision bass.

Just stopping by for a quick peek, been a while since I've ventured in here. Love that Snowglo a few pages back. Would love to do a Laredo like the one pictured with the pup cover and cool pickguard. Still madly in love with my '08 Cheyenne (DGCF) with the hefty neck.

I've had two 4003's, both Jetglo, and two 4001's, both Mapleglo. I voted Snoglow for the rarity factor and extreme sexiness, but over all those, I'm madly in love with my Trans Green 4004.
