    "Trading Up" Fodera Question

Earlier in the year, I had the opportunity to jump on a new Fodera. I really like the instrument, but it is not a "custom" bass in the traditional sense (it's a standard, I didn't order it from them directly). I'm fairly confident I'll want Fodera to make my first five string bass. Does anyone...

    Good pedals for fretless bass

Has anyone figured out the Anagram for fretless? I just got mine and am noodling around with it. I really like the FKT 'Fretless' pedal that someone posted earlier but I don't think I'll need it if I have an Anagram.

    First Fodera (NBD)

Is it true that the color deepens with time?

    First Fodera (NBD)

Walnut body, redwood top. Maple neck, ebony fretboard. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Incredible instrument, wonderful neck. Just a big wow all around. Going to be fun learning all the knobs and switches.

    High End P Bass

I'm curious what you guys are referring to when it comes to diminishing returns. The Fodera Monarch I just got comes with dual split Fodera/Duncan Dual Coils. I'm going to replace my other active bass with this one. I'm still going to pursue a pure P bass and enjoy the Monarch when she gets...

    High End P Bass

Hi all, Looking to pick up a high end P bass. These are the models I’m considering: - Fender Custom Shop Pino Palladino Precision Bass - Mike Lull P4 - Maruszczyk Jake - Fodera Monarch P I’m leaning toward the Pino but I'm not attached to relic/Fender brand. If I could even find a Lull P4...

I appreciate the words of advice and wisdom. There is so much to learn I think there is a lot to be said about 'Just play and treat it like any other bass'. Thanks for the responses. I'm hoping to get far!

Seeking Fretless Wisdom: Advice on Technique, Musicality, and Finding the Right Teacher

For a new fretless bassist, what advice would you give to balance learning technical skills with developing musicality and personal style? Many people describe the fretless bass as a ‘different animal,’ and while I understand why, I also feel it shares more in common with a fretted bass than is...

    Oldest Bass you got?

I’ve recently been able to obtain this 1972 Fender (fairly certain, maple neck I think). It’s seen its fair share of history, but it’s still got that classic feel. It’s much older than I am, so I feel pretty lucky to have it. I’ve got plans to eventually put the original pickups back in and lose...
