I don't think you can enjoy playing music you detest IMO. He obviously takes pride and joy from laid back jazz, metals not his scene, and by the sounds hes probably not going to be into the image and fashion/culture that goes hand in hand with the music.

To me it sounds like your all sorted. Just dont to caught up in it all, make sure your stuff is organised so you can find it all easily. Stick together with the band and don't separate, but have a contingency plan for if you do. If I was you I'd be more worried about crazy Europeans...

nah it should be fine dude. If your overly worryed stick one of those black tabs specfic designed for resting the thumb on above where you rest the hand. It should be fine tho, I wouldnt worry about it at all in your position.

I think most people do have to play with a few crappy first bands before they find a group of other musicians who know what it takes to write good music. It looks like your band is lacking in will power and inspiration. either talk it through, try some covers or something to reignite why you...

I prefer 10"s because I prefer definition over the droning hum I feel 15"s create. They just cater to my personal sound better. at that rate I actually am getting into 12" speakers, they're like a hybrid between the two :D

Travis Barker (Drummer) toured for a couple of weeks with one broken arm. With that said I would recommend toughing it out and just simplifying the bass line to basic core notes.

Cds were always terrible earnings for bands. we're talking barely cents per cd, record companies, distributors, all that takes it all. Indy bands make more from cds. Touring was always the only thing that made the big bucks for bands. And you know, selling pepsi.
