I really like Sheehan's tone, and his whole way of playing, and I believe the Winery Dogs is the perfect combo, I mean, Kotzen is just as awesome as it gets, his voice sounda great, his tone is pretty cool too, but what I like the most about him, is that he is able to find a way to put some jazz...

yea, the problem is that I am in a Muse specific cover band, as you mentioned, so I have to worry with this kind of thing, otherwise, I'd just play the notes too.

You couldn't be more wrong. What proves that this was a actually good topic, is that I've read many methods of trying to achieve the same sound, and a lot of them sound really alike. I can surely say, that I have learned more here, than I could ever do on google pr youtube (believe me, i tried)...

I'm trying to mimic his live tone. I've been doing what's been said before, using a synth, and then switching to any fuzzy kind of effect in the heavier parts, I've also read somewhere that it's a keyboard, but I choose not to believe that it's the only way.

I have recently bought HH3 and BEF, but I'm still quite getting the hang of it. The bad side, though, is that I live in Brazil, so, if I have any technical difficulties, such as the one mentioned above, I'll need at least a week to ship it back to USA, wait for it to get repaired and shipped...

That's quite a tone, but I think I can achieve something like that with the pedals I own right now... Well, at least I hope so.
