    4 String vs 5 String

    Do you want to play mainly slap ? If so, go with 4 strings. Otherwise, 5 is a better option, imo. Even if you don't use the B string that much, it still serves as a good thumb resting and you'll always have more flexibility and 5 extra notes.

    They are not great, but decent enough. I personally think the compressors on B3 are even better than on B3n (although, generally speaking the B3n is way better, imo). Almost always the compressor goes first in my chain.

    B3n patch library.

    I put them at the end of the chain and most (all?) of the patches I've seen do the same thing. Perhaps a limiter might come at the very end, but other than that I think Amps/Cabinets are better at the end (like the real thing).

    I take my hat off to you if you can play Dominique's (aka Forest) bass lines. The guy is a monster :-) Back to the topic, I don't think it is possible to get that tone with a fretted bass.

    The problem is the noise is present even when I'm plucking the strings, and AFAIK, the znr only works during pauses, right?

    Crystalman, this patch sounds very nice, but it adds tons of noise. I guess my noiseless pickups are not so noiseless after all ;)
