it would be cheapest just to have a company such as warmoth build you the bass to steve harris specifications. i added up all the parts.... and for an almost identical steve harris bass it would be around $900-1000

same gauge and tension, the difference is that the SS were fenders and the Nicks were Ernie Ball .....do you think it could be the way that EB makes them that gives me the fret buzz

i switched from SS to nickel on my geddy lee jazz bass and i seem to be getting a lot more fret noise than i did with the SS. any ideas on this?

your tone will remain kinda close to how it was when it was passive, but with a few added controls such as the eq and the z mode switch. for the geddy, it's a really transparent preamp.

did anyone else need to shave down the pickguard to fit the audere? i had to trim off a bit.

i've got a geddy with an audere and a abalone pickguard, pics will come soon.

anyone got any recommendations on good replacement tuners.
