Everything about those mods is just sooo wrong. Body bulge, intonation, neck dive and can't even wind the bloody strings on properly. It can't be playable surely.

I have 100 and a 200 - the 100 works well as long as it is into the PA but when we play louder pubs/gigs I like to use the 200 simply because I can hear it better. The 200 is only marginally heavier.

I have to disagree about not that much difference between the 100 and 200 - the 200 sounds and feels much louder. I tried the bass with it's stock strings on a couple of gigs - it was ok but nothing special. Pulled out an old set of D'Addario Nylon Tapewound .050-.105 which I have had on other basses and fitted them up. What a difference strings make. Perfect for those 60's songs. They'll do me.

Buy a 200 and combine it with the 100, as I do occasionally, and get a full 240 watts - that's a very powerful rig.
