Just spent my Saturday driving to pick this up and bring it home... well worth the hours of travel :)

I got fired from a band made up of some of my best friends... Just got an email which read like a stock letter from a "so, you want to manage a band" type website which said that I obviously wasn't interested anymore, and that if I wanted a full explanation then I could reply to the email. Long...

Turns out I'm more suggestible than I thought ;) Seems to tone down the maple neck a bit so it doesn't look so bright...

That's what I was thinking... Perhaps everyone can get a name tag with their instrument instead of a name ;)

Thanks... I'm really happy with how it came out, for a first attempt at restoring brass. Now I just need to figure out how to protect it so it doesn't become tarnished again in a month or two.

Here's mine... Recently acquired 1981 Blazer, in need of some TLC... I've tidied the bridge, but want a new pickguard (a previous owner scratched letters in near the knobs), new frets as they're badly worn and the electronics tidied up.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought I'd be in with a chance to post some old band photos of mine... but, no, I have to admit defeat. There's no way I can compete with these gems :)

It's already been mentioned multiple times, but I'd feel like I was leaving something out if I didn't mention Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt... Calling it a cover seems to undervalue it, Cash so totally owns the song that it's now his and Trent Reznor should now be claiming he's covering Johnny...

Looking good! I've been thinking about getting a second 5 string, which I can tune down a bit for metal, and at first I was only thinking Spector... but lately I've been seeing some pretty sweet looking Soundgears and I think I'm chaning my tune a bit :)
