If you will need to sell in a year to move back home, I would just invest in a headphone Amp until you are home, then buy what will serve your needs.

I use a soft tackle box. Large center pocket and 2 end pockets.

All mine passed before I was born, so never knew any of them. Thankfully, the wife's grandparents accepted me into the family, so I at least got to experience what grandparents are.

My path is pretty simple. Basses A and B >ABY>Boss tuner>Boss eq>Amp. The eq is solely to level the output of my TF fretless and MIM J for church. I have an odd, but only use a couple times a year.

I use separate straps for each. Different shapes means they hang different.

Good luck OP. One thing to consider is teaching. You've got years of experience, and that can be passed to the upcoming generation. You also have gig experience, and that can be passed on. Have you considered getting into running sound? Plenty of folks out there who would love having a sound...
