I just bought a Wechter ABG with a built in piezo, it has a great acoustic sound, but plugged into my amp it sounds very harsh and extremely 'un-acoustic'. Should I plug it into an outboard preamp first of all, something like the D-tar for example. Thanks.

Hi Thanks for all your advice. I've sold the 2x12 cab, so I'm now probably going to get a couple of Epifani 1x12's or perhaps a 4x10 to replace it.

Silly question time. I'm a new owner of a rather nice Wechter acoustic, is it OK to keep it on astand with my electrics ?, or should I keep it in its case, are they more susceptable to humidty etc. I live in the UK, so we don't get extremes of temperature, it tends to go from cold to cool.

Anyone used one ?. I'm buying an IP112 on Monday and want a really clean and uncoloured preamp. I'm also buying a Wechter acoustic bass tomorrow, and will be using that through the IP cab, so the D-tar looks like a good idea. It's also a fantastic price, for such a product.

Thanks for your reply. I've tried plugging into the effects return, and I still get that 'warm' sound, which is what lead me to think it was either the power amp stage or the cab, I did mean to post that in my original posting.
