    NBD - Fender Custom Shop

I just simply love how this bass looks! Perfect!

    Restoration: Roadstar (II) to hell

I would go with option C. If you're going to do a matching headstock, that is.

Practice build: 5-string multi-scale, HD woods

I would guess that there aren't many places where wooden floor is appreciated as much as on luthier's corner! :) That's one nice floor too, might I add. :)

    Mint or Tort?

    Definitely TORT!

Is getting an unlined fretless a good idea?

I like to think the fret lines more as "landmarks" than as positions you should put your finger on. I've had both lined and unlined fretless basses, and at least I noticed that I was looking at the lines or the side dots equally as much (as little as possible) when playing "normal" bass lines...

This here has to be the most beautiful bass guitar I've seen thus far! Amazing work, my hat is off to you sir! :bassist:

P bass v. J Bass-- Does the congregation care?

This. I changed my strings from rounds to flats, did some slap at a rehearsal, and asked my band mates what was their opinion on the sound. The response was something like:"I dunno, sounded the same to me..." Lesson learned there. :smug:

    NBD!!

I love the PG. I've been thinking of something like this myself, meaning a P with jazz neck.

    Steve Bailey speaks on Warwick/Fender..

I guess it was Victor Wooten, who said that when listening to someone speaking we don't consentrate on the tongue and mouth but to what the person has to say. Shouldn't really be that different in this case. I'm sure the Warwick is a nice bass, and hope you'll be happy with it and the "family"...

    EHX BassBalls

It makes this one crazyish sound, and I love it! After distortion it's my main effect (with the distortion mode on most of the time). :)

Does Steve Bailey sound too much out of tune?

Exactly! I'm sure I don't play as fast and precise (;)) with my fretless bass compared to the fretted one, but somehow I'm always drawn to play and express myself with it more than with the latter. It's the sound/voice I hear in my head, and I just can't get to the same level emotionally when...
