A cream colored B.C. Rich Warlock. It had a wonderfully crooked neck and the highest action imaginable. It's amazing I kept playing.

A local store has a 2003(?) Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass. They are selling it for "below dealer cost". It plays great and is a translucent teal. Maple board and has noisless pickups. The tags are still on it. Includes the case. It does have a ding right on the edge of the finderboard...

What type of amp are you using? If its the one in your profile, you might want to start there rather than with a new bass. JMHO

DWBASS: Thanks for the input. I'm pretty sure the roland pickup isn't included. I might try to get up there after work today! I looked in your profile - where does your band play locally? I don't get out to the clubs that often anymore.

Update: I gave them a call and they still have it. The guy said he thinks its a '99. They've been using it as a demo bass for a Roland rig, so its got some sort of Roland pickup attached to it, but he said that it comes right off. Does this still sound like a good deal? I probably am not...
