    For you married men......

Mine never really clacked on the fretboard. It more like dug into the webs of my fingers when I'd stretch to a fret. I ended up buying a Qalo ring. It's a silicone band that fits like a glove. Wife is happy... I'm happy... No muss, no fuss. QALO Silicone Wedding Rings

What Bass and Amp were you playing on your first gig that paid??

'51 P-Reissue Behringer BXL1800 Amp Amp caught on fire on 2nd set...so I didn't get to enjoy the money...

    Squier Owners Club

Hey guys. Just found this thread and would like to be a part of this club. As my name states, I do own and do love my Squiers. Here's the most recent purchase I have. Looking to do a setup and possibly a light modding of the aesthetics...will see in the future. Will post a pic of the family...

I have wandered out of Squier land and into the wonderful world of IBANEZ

I have a Squier Jazz V with Basslines and an Ibanez BTB450qm with Barts and both sound great with the genres of music I typically play. I find myself grabbing the BTB more for the wider range of tonal options and just in looks alone.

Rumble 500 atop of a SWR Workingman 4X10...only until I can talk the wife into letting me get the new 2X10 cab. Number?

Random thought... I'm assuming that the OD channel is the only tone wired to the foot switch input. Obviously, I'm not going to go rootin' around in my amp, but I wonder if there is a way to make the bright, contour, and vintage tones foot switchable.

Gonna catch hate for this, but I am REALLY liking the Squier Affinity Jazz...

Hey, rumble brother! I bought a Squier Affinity Jazz V about a year ago...switched pickups to a pair of basslines and added newer tuners. One of the best "cheap" basses I've ever owned. And, you know what the best thing about "cheap" basses are? You don't feel as bad switching out parts or...

Cover bands: How much time do you spend rehearsing?

I guess I'm in a minority...my cover band rehearses 1-2 times a week. Like everyone else, it's usually covering new material and such, but we also sit and listen to music. We discuss music. And we drink tons of Wild Turkey! :) I don't think rehearsal needs to be 100% focused on the "playing"...

    Fender Rumble Club

I don't personally have any problems with this setup. Of course, my ideal would be the new Rumble 1x15 cab, but for the price of free...I'll use the 4x10 a bit longer. :) This setup could possibly be overkill since our band has full PA with subwoofers...but I've always wanted a cool looking...

Thanks....looks like I'm going speaker shopping.

    Fender Rumble Club

The speaker in the acoustic says "4 ohms/ 250 watts"...so does that mean I'm messing up the amp? I'm really new at this and thought that I read somewhere that it was okay. I practiced with it for about 4 hours at stage volume (not very high), and it seemed okay...I just don't want to run the...

    Fender Rumble Club

I ended up playing around with it and this is what I found out...when you plug a cable from the "effect send" of the Rumble combo to the Acoustic "effect return", you still have to power the Acoustic amp on, but all the power/eq settings are controlled by the Rumble. So, basically what I did was...
