I have a Sonic Blue '08 CV 60's that is one of the best basses I own. The Squier is stock except for pickguard and straplocks. It is almost identical in sound and playability to my '79 P. IMHO you're going to love your new bass.Hello, first post.
I just pulled the trigger on a Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass in Fiesta Red. I won't get it for another week as the seller is traveling and that delay is giving me a bit of buyer's remorse...thinking I should have bought a used MIM(w/upgraded pickups) or MIA P. I figured that this might be the place to be reassured.
I own a 2009 MIM Fender Jazz Bass (FSR Natural Finish) w/ Fender Custom Shop 60s Pickups. I love that bass, but I have always wanted a bit more of that warmer mellower R&B P-Bass sound.
How does the CV 60s P stack up?
Here is an earlier post with a photo.
