Question: while being more an EMG P/J guy I *really* like the dual coils on the Monarch Standard but in single coil mode. Only gripe (who would guess it): hum, noise ... Are there any PUs with real single coil sound but no noise/hum that Fodera uses/offers? Stuff like using phantom coils etc...

Why not post instructions how to identify the series that has the defective material? How can we easily identify the new series that does not stain?

X-Blender is exactly what I am looking at for the parallel setup. Please report your experiences with that setup.

Anyone ever used an MXR M-87 for parallel compression e. g. with X-Blender from Xotic? Does the M-87 change the phase of the signal in any way?

Apparently it is possible to set the gain for the on-board preamp internally. Did anyone use that successfully? My AG-4 has less output than my other active basses, so increasing the gain would help me even out the volume and compressor settings.

I did all this, PDF explains it nicely except that the truss rod won't move. It's like it's stuck in there ... glued in ... Of course I do not dare to really pull hard ... does it normally need any real force?

The action on my Monarch 4 Deluxe is too high. The truss rod is in reverse (the nut is lifted up towards the fretboard). I can completely unscrew the nut (in fact remove it) even overnight and the action is still too high. That means reverse the truss rod right? So I use the tool as instructed...

Sorry the SD1200 is no match for your SVT4Pro. No f-ing way! Not in terms of power, not in terms of versatility/flexibility, no nothing at all. I understand your pain, but no way. The only lightweight amp I found viable in terms of sound and headroom is the Glockenklang Blue Soul, but that'll...
