Other than the truss rods being a pain in the arse on ALL Ric basses to set (You have to detune, bend the neck, adjust the nuts, release, tune, check and repeat or risk stripping/snapping/stressing the block on the truss rod) I can't think of any... Beautifully crafted, plays like butter... AND...

So far I'd say depending on budget, look at the Fender Jazz bass, modulus "Flea" signature or a Musicman StingRay/Sterling bass. I also recommend having a little look at Yamaha's stuff as well because they have some real nice sounding gear. I personally picked up a BB425X a couple weeks ago...

yep... good luck trying to get even an SBV nowadays...if you even think an SB5a would just show up on an EBay listing... keep dreamin' kid because these basses, no matter how cool they are are as rare as rocking horse turds!!
