    Steinberger (Spirit) Owners

I am reluctant to do that for the reasons mentioned in other threads... being perceived as a possible active shooter... and also for a general unwillingness at this point to support the gun industry in this country in any way, but thank you for the suggestion! BTW - I had a Sting bas for...

    SOLD Steinberger XL-2 - Fully restored w/case

Just to clarify... from what I understand, Jeff Babicz is the Babicz at Headlessusa.com... and therefore also the Babicz that likely did the resto shown here (which was very nice BTW... and please, OP correct me if I contribute that to the wrong Babicz)... and with a few more mouse-clicks I also...

Bump for additional suggestions... I'm also looking for a quality gigbag or case. Cross-linking to this post for those that are also looking re: an option available from Music Zoo.

    Steinberger Spirit Hard Case

Looks like a nice case. I've been looking since I picked up my XT-25 (exactly like yours) used last year. I know that you've only had it a short while, but what do you like or dislike about the case?

    Best Bass for Bar Fights?

Dudes! Chill out... this thread is clearly in jest. Just for FUN... I'll chime in. Think PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY. You gonna try to argue your way out of a personal injury lawsuit if your bass LOOKS like a weapon? Good luck. +1 to the Gibson Victory suggestion. I've owned two that were HEAVY...

"why did you choose to play bass? is it because you couldn't hack guitar?"

Ditto. Although, it was really a return to bass for me. Had a cool band director in Jr. High that let me borrow the Jazz Band's '76 Fender fretless jazz bass for two years since nobody was using it and I taught myself to play. I was gonna say "... for the chicks, man!" but who am I kidding...

    Oh Yeah... good call!

What size pick do you use?

Tortex +1... blue triangle for bass, orange teardrop for guitar.

    under rated bass players

Colin Moulding - XtC EDIT: And I think Carol Kaye is a legend as well... not really under-rated. Here's a couple female bassists for consideration, though... Tina Weymouth - Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club Sara Lee - Gang of Four, Robert Fripp, B-52s, Indigo Girls, etc... she's everywhere. Kim...

    Official Ampeg Portaflex Club

Not sure that just that will do it... best to check where the tubes bias at as well. You can calculate your max dissipation from there.

On my B-15S the external speaker jack is wired in parallel but there is a switch on the OT taps to select 2, 4, or 8. A nice feature.

Read This! I like JJ 6l6 tubes, but all of the Tung Sol RI tubes that I have had were great!

Did the BAII mount with the same bridge screw holes... or did it take new holes?!?

    Ampeg SVT Micro Stack

The look is of course, classic. I concur that they missed an opportunity here... imagine if the head had a real-deal SVT Tube Pre with the rockers and everything and then a SS power amp along the lines of the Shuttle or Markbass stuff to get you your stage volume with that 2x10 (or a pair of...
