Best Bass for Bar Fights?

Dudes! Chill out... this thread is clearly in jest. Just for FUN... I'll chime in. Think PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY. You gonna try to argue your way out of a personal injury lawsuit if your bass LOOKS like a weapon? Good luck. +1 to the Gibson Victory suggestion. I've owned two that were HEAVY... neck and body both made of hard rock maple! Also had an Ovation Magnum that was a tank as well. Any of those you could just turn around on stage and knock out the front row of peeps and just play dumb.

I know this is the BG forum, but I once owned an Epiphone upright that got the neck snapped off in a barfight. So, cross that one off the list. (Pictured in my avatar)
So, it sounds like you weren't in front of the crowd that expects you to play with a bow...more like the crowd that shoots at you with a bow!

Zombies you say?

Gibson Thunderbird: neck dive is your friend. Take hands off bass, headstock dives to floor; gravity/momentum helps automatically get meat of bass up where you need it - you snag neck in one fluid motion - and the fellow you hit takes a neck dive.

I prefer ash bodied Fender Precisions, but I'm a traditionalist. Anything along that line with a
4 bolt neck, their less likely to shift when striking something. Trust me, I've had experience in this area.;)
