    Thunderbird Club

And to theFixer, the Red album you have as your thumbnail has THE best bass sound I've ever encountered! But I'm sure you already know that! Hail Mel !!!!

    Thunderbird Club

Thank you for the replies...... Huh, well I guess I may have solved my own problem! I guess the active electronics are just too hot. I turned the bass boost all the way down on the bass, and brought my bass level down on the amp, and its not making that noise. It's not a chorus sound after all...

    Thunderbird Club

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere. I did a search to no avail. Here's my problem. I have an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro, the active one, that makes some strange sounds through my Fender Rumble V3 500 combo. It almost sounds like I'm playing through a chorus pedal. When I play through any...

What is the best kept secret in basses?

I'm going to have to agree on the ESP LTD basses. I had a B334 in a black stained finish. I found it at GC with a hard case for $150. I thought they must be kidding, it was such a great bass, felt good, played good, and looked good. I still kick myself for letting it go.

Squier vintage modified club, part 2

I just bought this beautiful Squier VM Precision bass used. It's honestly a joy to play, and sounds better than my MIM Fender P ever did.

Differences in Fender vs Squier tortoiseshell pickguard

Does anyone know if that pickguard will fit a Squier Vintage Modified P Bass? On Ebay in the description it says it will NOT fit Squier.

Agents of Misfortune (Cliff Burton 1981)

I love this video. And I don't care if this is an old thread. This video is too awesome to ignore. The sounds they start making around the 2:29 mark....oh my. Pure sonic heaven to me.

Rat-type distortion for high output active bass

Thanks for the advise Plucky. I tried everything, lowered the volume on my bass, the pedal, the eq, etc. Nothing helps. I've read others don't have this problem with their active basses and the BB. Its strange, only you and I seem to have this problem.

Rat-type distortion for high output active bass

I too have this problem with my Blower Box and my Epiphone Thunderbird Pro. The Pro is active, and the Blower Box just doesn't mix with it at all. It works fine with all my passive basses, but my Thunderbird is my fav bass, and I'm kinda bummed I cant use the BB with it. :(

    2017 gibsons ?

The new Gibson EB is yuck to me. The ones they made before this year looked damn cool, now they look like sheet. Its got what looks like a thunderbird headstock on top of a Peavey Cirrus body? I'm not sure who would want a Gibson that looks like that. It's just my opinion, but damn, to me that...

I Present the IdiotBox Effects's Blower Box

My BB works great with passive bass, but not so well with my one active. I may have to try again and see if I was overloading the pedal with too much signal or something.

    CRONOS and early VENOM

Thanks for the kind words, but nah, I'm just a lucky dude who got to see some seminal bands back in the day.

Not really sure, but it doesn't sound good

    CRONOS and early VENOM

Right place, right time.... I also saw Metallica(with the mighty Cliff Burton!)open for Y&T around this same time. Northern California, and the bay area to be exact, was THE place to be for punk and metal, and crossover and thrash.

    CRONOS and early VENOM

"We will raise the dead!" thread! I am an unapologetic lover of all things Venom. I got to see them on the 85 Combat tour in Sacramento. Exodus and Slayer opened. Best show ever! That was my first taste of thrash metal played live, and I've never been the same since. Thank god for VENOM!
