I've listened to Salome before, actually. I've never been able to get into them, but I'll give it another shot. I've heard that they either broke up or that Kat left the band, not sure which is true. And yes, Black Tusk is awesome live! I saw them open for Crowbar in December.

It takes a lot for a sludge band to really impress me, but count me impressed. That article also mentions one of my favorite sludge bands, Thou. Everyone here should listen to Thou.

The Android version of this is buggy as hell. It's cool that I can play with my friends with iPhones (read: all of them) but it barely works half the time. I'm sticking with WordFeud for right now. So, what's the highest scoring word you've ever played? I got a bit over 200 once with 'jocks'.

That's a pretty specific request, but fortunately I can help. Check out Grayceon. They play an odd mix of sludge, doom, progressive, and since they have a cellist instead of a bassist they also incorporate a bit of symphonic and some chamber type music. It's very good.

Oh, if I may make one more suggestion, go to a Half Price if there's one around you. B&N is the biggest friggin' rip off in the entire world. You can buy books at about a third the price at a Half Price and they'll be in fairly good condition. No reason to buy books new, in fact I like them used.
