Very sweet bass! I used to have a May’53. I believe “Tadeo” would be Tadeo Gomez, noted advisor to Leo, known for his neck shaping skills and more. Usually necks he crafted are signed “TG”. It’s a keeper!

MOP for sure. With a deluxe skyline, I think you’d regret not reinforcing that high-end touch with MOP. I even went with MOP on my maple fingerboard 2019 NYC custom.

Totally satisfied with my series 1 350 and 2x BA 10-2 stack. Who knows? Maybe in years to come these will achieve “vintage collectable” status for those seeking a particular sound?

To my knowledge, matching headstocks on original pre-CBS P-Basses are exceedingly rare, if they exist at all. Could be special ordered no doubt. I’ve seen refins, but that’s it.
