LOL--in 1974 I played trombone in my high school marching band, and bass in the jazz band. During football season that year, we added "Satisfaction" to the show, and I would drop my trombone and pick up my Fender Precision, which was plugged into my ACOUSTIC 371!!! We had three guys wrangling...

I'm not a fan of that particular bass for jazz, just too one dimensional, although for a young player, it's a decent build with good value. The Squier jazz basses are better, and around the same price. My opinion, from an old HS jazz band bass player!

I put a KSM bridge on an American Special Jazz. Completely transformed the bass--in a good way. I loved the bass and bought it because of the neck, which is really nice. Everything else about it is fairly basic Jazz bass--the bridge lets it breathe!

It was a white Kalamazoo, single pickup, short-scale. Bought it with a Kasino 1-15 combo amp. Nothing but name-brands for me!

The LTD relic'd PJ basses are very, very nice. Well made, balanced, easy to play, and they sound good. They do require a fairly detailed setup.
