That is my first bass (actually my first 4) on the far Left. A 1975 Aria A-200. The other 3 (in ownership order are a 1982 Peavey T-20FL, 1978 Washburn SB-40 and a 1981 Hondo 1181 Longhorn)

1979 Ibenez Studio.

Beautifully made, great-sounding bass which I still have. It weighs just South of 12 Lbs., so I seldom gig with it anymore.

A keyboardist friend in college sold it to me in 1985 for $100, which he put toward a new, pearl white Westone bass.
His reasoning behind the cheap price was:"Well, it's not shiny or anything...". I kid you not. Needless to say, I didn't haggle. I hope he liked that Westone!

A Paul McCartney Hofner knockoff that I bought from some kid for $25 when I was in high school back in the 70s. Had it for about 6 months and then bought a Gibson Grabber.

It was a white Kalamazoo, single pickup, short-scale. Bought it with a Kasino 1-15 combo amp. Nothing but name-brands for me!

Hondo P bass copy, 1980. It had giant copper strings on it and it smelled weird.

My first was a 1978 Fender Precision Fretless with natural (Walnut) body and Maple neck. Had a black pickguard and was a custom order from the California plant, which delivered in 4 weeks.

I applied some changes:
Added Dimarzio J Bass pickups before and after the Precision model.
Added an in/out out phase switch for the Dimarzios.

This thing had great mwah to it with a brightness.

1967 Greco violin bass - yeah, a Beatle bass knock off. Was actually a sweet instrument, used it through jr high, high school and into college.

My first bass was a loaner - a Fender Mustang.

The first bass I owned was a Cort. Had to trade in everything I owned to get it (Guild electric, Fender twin reverb amp, etc...). I got taken on the trade-in but I was happy to have my own bass.
