    Case to hold disassembled bass??

Thanks. It's just a MIM Road Worn that I got used on CL. Its an especially nice playing one and I've really bonded with it. And its a 2009 (before they switched to Pao Ferro) #10yearchallenge

    Case to hold disassembled bass??

It's a $200 fee, for a $600 bass. No thanks. Also, the move isn't optional. My wife is doing her PhD.

    Case to hold disassembled bass??

Definitely not using a rifle case. Too expensive and not trying to get held up by TSA.

    Case to hold disassembled bass??

I am moving overseas, taking my J bass. Gonna have to take the neck off to travel and avoid oversized baggage fees. Any idea how I should transport? The body can fit in my suitcase but the neck can't. Any ideas/tips on what I should transport it in? [Edit]: I am looking for a cheap option as I...

    Flying with bass. Oversized baggage?

Yeah, I suppose that's what I'm asking. You think the airline staff is gonna really be that strict or is is common for them to just be like, "that's roughly guitar sized, so you pay the music instrument fee"

    Flying with bass. Oversized baggage?

Was wondering if anyone has any experience flying with a full scale bass. Am I'm going to have to pay oversized baggage fees? Is this common? I just looked over the airline's policies for music instruments and it says they have to be under 62 (158cm) in total dimensions. My flight case looks to...

No foam. And I'm currently using half round strings on the J (was using flats but needed a little more punch) and rounds on the P (although I may switch to half rounds next time I restring it). Love the sound of flats but my band is rock & roll/punk so they just couldn't keep up.

    EQ Questions

That's actually a great idea. I should have clarified this, I like the J sound better for my band and would actually like to make the P bass sound a bit more Jazz-like

    EQ Questions

I have both a P and a J bass and play through a Rumble 500 (4 band eq). Was wondering what eq settings you'd recommend with each bass for rock & roll/punk tones. My dilemma is that I want to be able to change basses from one show to the next for fun and not have my tone be so drastically...

Hey everyone. I have played guitar for about 17 years now and while I have owned a couple basses over the years, I always ended up selling them to fund guitar gear. I've only considered myself a "bassist" for about a year when I started playing bass seriously in a band. I have since acquired two...
