Needing a cheap but powerful bass amp.

Hi Riddo. Try EBay . I'm in Australia. Couple of years ago I bought a Hartke 3500 300watt combo with 4x10 speakers - $500. There's always plenty there. How many watts & how many $ are you looking to part with?

Anyone using a Markbass CMD 102P for a Classic Rock/Hard Rock Cover Band?

Yes and yes. Playing Black Crowes, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, etc. I switched to the Markbass due to its low weight and great sound. I found I've had to turn down at rehearsal so I can hear the guitarist's JCM 900. I also got a 4x10 Eminence box but have found that I end up using it as a stand for...

    MarkBass.....

I bought a CMD102P and was blown away by the sound. I used to have an SVT and a fridge in the 80's, doing mainly smaller gigs now and the Markbass cuts it. Also have an Eminence 4x10 for bigger gigs. I love the Markbass.

What strings come standard on G&L L2000 Tribby?

Yep,they're the ones Mickey. Thanks for our help. I put the originals back on & recorded today. The bass sounded fantastic on 3 songs we recorded, so definitely going the D'addario XLs for the Tribute and I'll stay with the Nanoweb for the Schecter. BTW, the producer was knocked out with the...

    Elixir Nanowebs

More than the long life is the consistent sound throughout their life and the feel on your fingers, though I guess this is more a personal choice

What strings come standard on G&L L2000 Tribby?

If anyone knows, I'd love to find out. I use Elixir Nanoweb on my '82 Schecter custom & they're great. Have had a brand new L2000 Tribby for a month & going into studio to record in a couple of days. The original strings sounded great but a bit dead for recording (due to a lot of playing in the...

    My dumb little finger

Keep going with the Gripmaster - I have nerve troubles with my fingers after playing for 37 years, but have had massive improvement (despite the doctors saying it wouldn't help). Maybe use un ultralight tension and work up to a medium tension. Hope this helps!

    Eminence ME10 272 10" speakers

Thanks for the tip, Jimmy. Anthony Lucas from Eminence got back to me and said they were an order from an OEM manufacturer - 8 ohms and possibly rated at least 75 watts. I checked the box impedance and it was 8.6 ohms, so I think this will do as a second box for my Markbass CMD102P

Babicz Full Contact Hardware Bridge review

I guess so. At first, I wanted a new LQ badass gold plated, but they were out of stock for so long, so went for the Babicz and was pleasantly surprised. Thanks for the compliment. Here's another pic.

    Eminence ME10 272 10" speakers

Hi all. I just bought a 4 x 10 cabinet with 4 x 10" eminence speakers. The model number on the speakers says ME10 272. Does anyone know the approx power rating of these? Picture attached. I think it may be a Sovtek box.

    Replacement pickups for Washburn XB400

Hi all. I recently bought a used Washburn XB400. It plays really great, only problem is, the tone sucks a bit when I put it against the Schecter Custom P bass with Bill Lawrence EB60's. sometimes I like to change basses during a gig, or break a string, don't want to have to change the whole...

Babicz Full Contact Hardware Bridge review

I had a Leo Quan Badass Bass II bridge on my Schecter 1982 custom P bass for 25 years. Due to bad choice of luthiers, had to replace the Badass. (He destroyed it) . I was always happy with the Badass (and they are a heavy mother). I replaced it with the Babicz FCH. I was apprehensive about it...
