I'm there. I've been so wishy washy. I've gone from wanting a highway one precision, to a 50s precision, to a 60s jazz. to an aerodyne p, to a preciaion deluxe special, to an american standard jazz or p, to an MIJ 60's reissue, back to the highway one. My mind still hasn't been made up!

It's hard to tell. It looks like it for the most part, but there'sno fender logo on the headstock. Also, there is no date label at the bottom of the neck. But who knows?

I think the tone of the 51 is very similar to that of the neck pickup on a jazz. So, yeah, it can definately be described as a P with a Jazz pickup. When compared to any other P-basses, I think the 51 has a a bit of a brighter punch, but it still sounds amazing. The body of the 51 is a lot...
