I just returned an MTD Kingston AG5 for all the same noise issues you mention.

My MG-800 during setup last Saturday night. So easy to dial up the sound you want. We have a couple of songs in the set that need ‘dirty’ bass, so great to be able to switch between the clean & drive channels too.

Sounds spot on in combination, but gives great options too if you want to take just one of either. Basically i’ve got three cab set up options there. Amp wise I have a TC BH550 and the Magellan - the cabs sound superb with either. All lightweight loveliness too & an easy fit into the car...

I’d get one cut to fit. I wanted to change the one on my Elwood 5, so ordered one direct from Adrian. It didn’t line up properly against the top edge of the neck, & to be fair, Adrian took it back without a fuss. Got a custom one made which fits perfectly.

Just been well looked after by their previous owners I guess. That & the fact they are very well made instruments. The 335 is 20 years old & the 321 is 23 years old!!

@kodiakblair Look away now!! :D Just acquired a rather tasty SB335. That & the 321 look superb together!
