Received my Schaller Tuners today! They are a good fit but the screw holes don't line up (the tuners cover the whole area by the way, so you don't see anything when the new tuner is fixed). So in the afternoon I filled up the old screw holes with wood glue and a toothpick. This evening I'm going to drill new holes and fit the new tuner. Pretty psyched about it!! Wish me luck.....!!

Thanks dude, I think so too! I originally wanted to go with Buckeye Burl, but because I was trying to keep the cost of my first custom bass within reason, I settled for Spalted Maple. Now I'm not sure I'd trade it if I was given the opportunity, I love it!

That's awesome what are the specs..

Alder body, Wenge veneer, Spalted Maple top, 34" scale, 14" hard maple/wenge laminated neck, ETS hardware, Delano P/H pickups. Noll 4-band preamp and the parallel/single/series HB switch.

Wow Stunning!! Agree with Dave, total killer.
Man, for a minute I thought there were three pickups until I noticed it's a headless and what I thought being the jazz pickup in the bridge position is in fact the bridge itself !!

I've got a question for you Elwood owners that have swapped pickguards. Do standard, I think 10 hole, Jazz guards work or will one need to be cut to fit?

Nope, won't do and none will.
Reason is that the lower cutaway is way bigger (or larger) than standard, thus allowing easier access to higher frets.
Send a mail to Adrian, if he has some in stock then you might get one.

I'd get one cut to fit. I wanted to change the one on my Elwood 5, so ordered one direct from Adrian. It didn't line up properly against the top edge of the neck, & to be fair, Adrian took it back without a fuss. Got a custom one made which fits perfectly.

I've got about 10 emails messages out there asking for help and another to Public Peace. The challenge is going to be finding that particular material I think. I've already received one response to an email but what they suggested doesn't look the same just based on image they had on their site. Close.......

Can't totally rely on web images. I just went through pickguard selection for my Fender P. Wound up ordering three. Two of the three arrived looking a little different than the web provided images......
