When I ordered through a US dealer, everything was rolled together and I just got a final bottom line price delivered to my door. It was not hateful compared to the estimated price in the configurator.

So, for those who were curious about turnaround time on custom orders...

If you dig through this thread, you'll see that I posted the concept design for my Elwood L5-24 on May 7th. That was the day they received my first payment & began work on it. I just got an email from them today that it's finished & ready to ship (and it looks great!). So, that's just under 12 weeks. Not bad, considering how quick they're growing in popularity. I'm soooo looking forward to getting this in my grubby little hands!!

Lucky man! My lefty was placed in January and didn't arrive till early July! Worth the wait, but it was brutal.

So, I'm currently Jones'in for an Elwood C 5 string with Delano JMVC 5 FE pups & Delano 3-band pre.
I did a search & didn't find anyone referencing using those on an actual bass.
Ran the Configurator & came up with a 1705 Euro price.
Anybody using this pup/pre config on an Elwood (even if only 4 string)?

Really? I was looking at the bass of the month from may 2016 but having it set up as a fretless, the configurator put it at 3200 euros.. >.< Ooomph I thought. What were the savings?

1. How's the upper fret access, specifically on the bolt on?
2. What is the fret size?
3. What do you wish you ordered?

1. Very good.
2. Usually medium jumbo, but you can decide. Mine are narrower, can't remember the size right now.
3. I ordered everything.

Nice! Is the neck pretty thin front to back? If so, I'll probably end up ordering one very shortly

Again, you decide. Mine is not exactly thin, more of a modern C.

Can't speak with any authority re: bolt-on...mine is set-neck but I bought it used "off the rack" and had no say in the matter. Not sure of the fret size but I did have to have the fret-sprout addressed to get her 100%. This was a NAMM bass so I'll assume it was crafted to be representative of the more popular options including the Delano oval pickups and Sonar preamp. If configuring / purchasing new, here's what I'd change:

*Dual headpiece which accepts both double ball-end and conventional strings.

*Not sure where to place it or what to sacrifice but a vintage tone control would be nice.

*Gloss option to minimize wear on the front / face. My thumb is like a mill file.

*Absolute must: 3 way selector for each pickup, especially the Delanos. That's the tone!

21mm depth at 1st Fret , modern C , 40 mm nut.

100+ Maruszczyk Sold World wide and have had zero complaints about Fat necks generally.
