The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

Well, there was a bit of lack of communication on what I was getting. PM me for more details.
Did you order direct through Adrian or from another source?......

The reason I'm asking is that I'm considering another Mensinger Joker build which is going to be a little more complicated than my first one and I'm slightly worried that Adrian's lack of English might cause complications....

Feel free to reach out to me, I'd be glad to translate or get communication done with him for you, if necessary :)

I haven't bought from him yet but based on communication he seems like a pretty stand up guy. If you buy from Adrian you will have to pay US duty/tax so keep that in mind when you price one. But not if you buy from the US dealer. Here is a recent catalog:
I bought my first Jake 4 and went thru Sylvain. It sounds great. About 5 weeks AFTER it came i got a bill from fedex for 56.00 duty taxes. Im not gonna pay it but they may hold my next delivery. I also ordered a custom exotic wood jake 4. Its been 2 months and its really tough not seeing ANY pics. Every other customer bass I ordered (roscoe multiple warriors and others) would send build pics.

I've ordered 3 basses from Sylvian, with no problems. Sometime it takes him awhile to responds but each time it gets better. He might have a Regular Job too. Not sure. Any question I have . I get a awnser. Just Patient basses take 10 to 12 week Min. Hope this put your mind in easy.
he does a have a regular job. (if playing bass at gigs is considered regular) lol You definitely need to be patient. I am about 2 1/2 months into my next custom jake 4. Communication is real slow. I will let you know how it goes.

Maruszczyk and their other label Mensinger build hundreds of instruments per year, not 30 like maybe some other luthiers. From what Adrian told me personally, most of them are custom builds nowadays. Sending each customer pics of the process would be a huge effort for which they neither have the time nor the people.

However, Adrian is a very straightforward, honest and reliable person. Live with the fact that once the build has started, you will hear little to nothing until that sofa shot pops up. Trust and patience are your friends until then.

P.S. I own three custom Maruszczyk basses and know what I am talking about. ;)

He told me they don't expect any real stock for 2018 anymore. Back 2 years ago at every new delivery he had about 10/15 Basses available. Now its more like 2 ..... all others are pre sold and go straight a customer.

Fedex does make mistakes too. I got a bill for a sale i didn't do / didn't send. You should call them. as if you went through a USA dealer he is responsible for paying import taxes in the USA.

When I ordered through Fretspot, I got a final bottom line bill that included any shipping and taxes. I don't even know how much any of that was. It was a very fair price for what I got. I like doing business that way.

What he said ^

Patience Grasshopper....:)

Another question entirely: does anyone know of a good stand for a headless Frog? I tried a Hercules gs405b (either the straplocks are barely balancing on the bars or one bar is supporting the bridge, which could damage the bass over time and is messing with the tuning) and a k&m Guardian 3 (just doesn't fit quite right and is unstable). Also, I tried one of those A shape stands, but that wouldn't work at all.

I now have my attention drawn to a Hercules gs402, but I would rather have something that keeps the neck in place as well, considering I have a very small child. Any suggestions?

The wooden stand from Maruszczyk does the job just fine! You can check out the stand in their Shop!

Their wooden standard makes the bass lean to the far left. Furthermore it doesn't grant any form of neck security.

I just ordered this one: Invalid Link Removed. It is supposed to work with offset bodies because you can adjust the arms. I will let you know how it turns out.

Hey guys, I'm a long time lurker if this club as I love these basses! I came across one in the TB Bazaar that seems awfully affordable ... hoping to get some insight on this bass

For Sale - Maruszczyk Instruments - JAKE 4p+ in Red burst - Used - Very Light

I also really like this Elwood

For Sale - Maruszczyk Instruments - ELWOOD 4P+ - 4 String Bass in Bruno Blue Burst NEW

Any advice is appreciated. I have too many basses as it is so I don't have a particular need for a P or J style. Thanks in advance and please don't swoop in and buy these before I can make a decision :D
