Actually, for me it's quite the opposite. I find the neck of my Elwood 4p very very thin, I'm accommodating but I wish it would have been bit bigger.
On a second thought, for me it's good thing to have a very thin neck. That way I don't have to grab the neck as if it was a baseball bat. Instead it forces me to have a lighter touch therefore reducing pains and fatigue in my left hand.

Good to hear from you again! None of my Maruszczyks has a thin neck, but I acquired an old MIJ Ibanez Soundgear a few months ago, which has a thin neck and I am also liking it a lot.

Yeah thanks mate!! had been pretty rough summer. Very busy with a lot of work, family matters and so on, you know usual stuff... ;)

Nice bass! I love my Maruszczyk also!! Tonight I'm going to put new strings on (GHS Bass Boomers medium scale) and oil the fingerboard! It needs some loving and I'm always looking forward to work on my basses!!

Damn, I was working on my bass and when I removed the A-string something snapped (at least, that was the sound) and then the part, where you wind the string on (excuse me for my English), came lose and couldn't fix it anymore. Hated the tuners anyway. I'm gonna order me some Schaller BM tuners to replace them. Hope the holes will line out perfectly.........:(:rage:

I already asked him once which tuners could replace the standard ones and his answer was Schaller BM. Not that I don't believe him but I've measured them myself and they come closest so I already ordered a set via Thomann. I'm thinking about replacing them myself (I have a thread going on about it) but I'm not really confident that I can do the job (I hope the screw holes line up). We'll see.

They "smell fresh" for about 3 weeks if you use your instrument everyday (The more you use the more it goes away).
Now, the basses in my cases tend to smell more than the one in the bags and that's because of the case lining material that often "keep the smell"...

Received my Schaller Tuners today! They are a good fit but the screw holes don't line up (the tuners cover the whole area by the way, so you don't see anything when the new tuner is fixed). So in the afternoon I filled up the old screw holes with wood glue and a toothpick. This evening I'm going to drill new holes and fit the new tuner. Pretty psyched about it!! Wish me luck.....!!
