The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

I've got about 10 emails messages out there asking for help and another to Public Peace. The challenge is going to be finding that particular material I think. I've already received one response to an email but what they suggested doesn't look the same just based on image they had on their site. Close.......

Can't totally rely on web images. I just went through pickguard selection for my Fender P. Wound up ordering three. Two of the three arrived looking a little different than the web provided images......

Hey Ebozzz,

Was off the grid for a while, but try to see if that ebay search will fits your needs

Abalone Pearl pickguard sheet | eBay

Here's a puzzler....

I absolutely LOVE my Frog. From it's great tones, to aesthetics to playability to coolness factor, etc... it's just a killer bass .... but....

The only problem I find with the Frog is when I play her in a live band situation, the G string has considerably less volume than the low E .... There's low end goodness for days coming out of this bass but upper register runs on the D or G string get lost.

Anyone else have an issue like this? If so, did you fix it and how?

I can see the pups...what's the preamp-in-play? My Frog has the big-ass oval Xtenders and Sonar pre so the response may differ from your's. OTOH, I've made a few observations that my apply to your situation.

Adjusting the height of the pickups doesn't help?

By the way, I want that green machine in the background....

Thanks Brother! Yep, it's the same. I found that and also the following.....

https://www.amazon.com/KAISH-Pickgu...ywords=abalone+pearl+pickguard+material&psc=1

Adrian also got back to me before I found those options. He ordered it. As long as the cost isn't too prohibitive, I'd prefer to go back to the well since he stepped up. If it's too much, then I'd prefer the Amazon options. Why? I'd get it much faster. From there, I'd just need to find someone local to cut it for me. I think that I have that covered....... ;)

on the Delano's I see on your Frog, I wouldn't count on it.

not sure how familiar your are with setting up the bass but you also need to check your strings height first and then the pickup height.

I set up all my basses, the neck is spot on, so is the string height .... I'll try to raise the treble end of the pups.

Thanks

So, I'm currently Jonesin' for an Elwood C 5 string with Delano JMVC 5 FE pups & Delano 3-band pre.
I did a search & didn't find anyone referencing using those on an actual bass.
Ran the Configurator & came up with a 1705 Euro price.
Anybody using this pup/pre config on an Elwood (even if only 4 string)?
After some checking around I'm liking the Noll TCM 3P 4-knob, 3-band semi-parametric EQ.
Should be able to get almost any tone out of it.
1-piece Swamp Ash (string-through) body, Rock Maple neck + carbon fiber rods, Pau Ferro fingerboard, Delano JMVC 5 FE pups, Hipshot tuners & bridge and Nitro finish.
Particular options result in $2235 at current exchange rate.
