The best way is simply just to handle it if it's a cheapo knock off you're going to know it more with the neck than anything else. They do pretty good job copying the look of instruments but the feel of them they just can't do they just have that cheap feel to them

Specially for the svt cl, your not going to get it to sound like a 2 pro. You can probably run a pedal, like a sansamp in front for more grit.

It also helps that I've seen a whole mess of these things popping up for sale lately especially on reverb

I love the CL preamp however it is a very clean sounding preamp so it's very much like a two non-pro. This is why I use a Sands amp in front of it for Grit I don't really think you're going to get grit out of that preamp by itself. I would highly recommend the SVP Pro which is the preamp section...

Having owned all of these and in that i love a powerful, grinds tone, ii non pro all day and tomorrow. Now, because of the tube issue and such, I use an svp cl preamp into a svp 1600 poweramp. With a sansamp bass driver in front for some grit. Sounds just as good to me. No more crazy...

Well I'd love to help everybody out but I personally am no content creator I'm a bass player and that's about as far as it goes I will say that I think this pedal is awesome glad I got it and you should too LOL

My experience = small size= tech 21 vtdi sounds like an svt and larger = sgt sounds even better! I use real svts live and these at home or fill in/rehearsals

At the top left of the screen next to where it says help I forgot what it said but it was a button I clicked in it and it had midi inputs on the drop-down menu I went on there and switched the inputs on my laptop to the USB port that I was plugged into. It wasn't reading it for some reason...

Alot of the presets sound great just as they are. So, this can work, or a regular programmable bass driver. This has mid and mid frequency, so its like a bass driver v2 programmable and more

It has a whole bunch of different amplifiers and I'm thinking that the different amplifiers represent different positions that would be on the character knob.
