Oh you are 100% right! Well I guess that answers my original question. It's interesting Jacob went with the minimalist bridge for his custom prototype.

@Waltsdog not sure about that, all the Canadian models but the Z3, Sklar, and Prima currently have shifted to the minimalist bridge. See Custom Shop - Dingwall

Here is Sheldon talking about the minimalist bridge. It sounds to me eventually all the lineups will come with this bridge, including the Z3s. I like this bridge better over the individual saddles.

So then is the original Z3 bridge is supposed to be superior compared to the minimalist bridge? Everything I've read about the minimalist bridge, include Sheldon's interviews points that the minimalist bridge is better and they're eventually replacing all their bridges with it?

Question: Original Z3 Bridge vs the newer V3 Minimalist Bridge? I noticed Jacob Umansky got a minimalist bridge installed on his custom Z3. Does anyone know any specific pros or cons between the two bridges?

What are those things on the strings? Dampeners? If so where did you get them? Thanks!

    Attenuator for MESA/Boogie Subway TT-800

Thanks for those replies. Now it makes to me. Specially what agedhorse said. It looks like the Subway WD-800 DI is not post master volume. That might be the one that solves my issue.

    Attenuator for MESA/Boogie Subway TT-800

Thanks for the replies everyone! This is more complicated I thought it would be. I just wanted to be able to control the cab volume on stage without messing with DI volume. Another easy thing to do is just to get a head that has an independent speaker output volume control. The MarkBass and GK...

    Attenuator for MESA/Boogie Subway TT-800

I guess I could try that. I read on here the Weber Mass attenuators could do the job, but I'm not too sure if they would pair well with my amp. Mesa also has the MESA/Boogie PowerHouse Reactive Load Attenuator which seems to do the job.

    Attenuator for MESA/Boogie Subway TT-800

Thanks for the reply! I'm gigging large venues and the 2x15 has worked great for me. At times I just need to increase/decrease the stage volume depending on the venue. I'm trying to avoid messing with FOH and stage, thus I want to independently control the cab volume.

    Attenuator for MESA/Boogie Subway TT-800

Hello! My chain goes from my Mesa Subway amp to an X32 and then to FOH. I'm also plugging into a Mesa Subway 2x15 cab. I want to be able to control the cab volume without affecting the level that goes out to FOH. The issue is that the amp master volume (both pre and post) affect what goes out...
