You might wanna try emailing Gerold and seeing if he has something in the sonores brand that’s comparable to the red labels. If I had to guess he might suggest the newer Tempera brand strings. They seem similar in concept, metal string that handles more like a wrapped gut.

Does anyone have audio of themselves playing any of the rainworm strings pizz? There’s nothing on the site and wasn’t able to get any samples after emailing with Gerold so far. Super happy with my APs but the modular vibe with the rainworms different sets of D/G sounds very cool.

I sent Mike money for a 16 replacement speaker and never saw anything. I still have the stupid cab with the blown speaker 5 years later. Shame, it was the best speaker for those gigs where you *could* play acoustic but you’d be digging in hard for three sets.

I have the same weight concerns and went with barefaced. It seems like there were more options for small, light and accurate powered speakers or micro power amps before Covid but the barefaced super midget with a small head like genzler, grbass, or Eich is a solid option for the moment.
