    Baby Sumo

Older thread, but looking for something like the sumo to power my passive bass/PA speakers. I have mixers. Anything newer out there? Saw the seymour duncan amps. Without digging up the tube vs ss watts ordeal, Are the 700 watt class d amps louder than, say, a fender twin? Trying to get a...

Your Favorite 100 watt hand wired tube amp?

I'm going to deescalate the Talky Bass element that's been cropping up in this discussion and recommend Plush amps which were 100 watt hand wired American made tube amps based on fender showman or a twin reverb designs built in the 70s. I've had one since 1973 and it's been a workhorse with no...

MAS Bodai 28 - Bodai 38 Special and 18 Discussion

Big fan of Mike's cabs. I wouldn't say they are especially tube friendly, with maybe the exception of the first lpt12 cab. They really need some juice to get going. When i think tube amps, i'm thinking 2 6l6 or 6550. maybe 50 or 100 watts tops. If i need to cart a 300 watt tube amp, i'll just...

    Cab for JBL K 140

Question about pedal power and supply

quote: Have you considered a quality multi-outlet regulated power supply with better quality cables? No wall wart, no power quality issues, no teeny flimsy wires, easily 6 outputs. recommend?

Question about pedal power and supply

best for me would be a power supply powered by a rechargeable battery.

Question about pedal power and supply

Batteries. Because i dislike teeny flimsy wires and connectors. because wall warts clog up power strips. Because it's hard enough finding enough quality AC power in most situations. i use no pedals when playing bass, maybe one if my amp doesn't have onboard reverb and tremolo when playing...
