@Cantstandsya, I have the StingRay version of your PDN, and I agree about the mahogany body giving it a different tone. Cool Bongo!

Somehow, I'm not the least surprised to see a rhino head in that picture. But I am surprised at how much sunlight drenches the room.I got one for y'allView attachment 3756133 .
Oh baby, I just got super jealous. Love the Gretsch look, and also left handed, so constantly lamenting that they make lefty guitars but not basses. It's beautiful.View attachment 3756137
My "unicorn" bass? That would have to be this one. A 1994, straight-from-the-Terada-factory, left handed Gretsch Broadkaster. Except for a couple of very old, '50s customs, and a conversion or two, this is the only lefty Gretsch bass I've ever seen. And I've been looking for them a long, long time, too...![]()
congratulations, you win today's internetIt took 15 years of daily Ebay searches to find a good one, and in that time I only saw one other. The Wurlitzer 7771 sixer was built in Italy for Wurlitzer under license from Welson, '69 only. The 27" scale makes it better as a baritone guitar, which is how I have it strung now, but in '73 another like it was the first bass I ever gigged. If you've even seen one of these in the wild, I'd like to know about it. This one even came with the bridge cover, and there's a sprung tailpiece for the whammy bar. I've since replaced the missing fretboard block.
