Hey, maybe that case belongs to this bass that I recently picked up from the same seller...! Mine came in a new gig bag which are fairly worthless IME...

Yeah, he might have gotten things mixed up since I got the Fury without the case and the T-20 with a case both from the same seller as you did. At least you got a gig bag. :)

Its a stock 6x10 “traditional” cab. I’m normally a Schroeder cab guy but that Mesa cabinet is pretty freaking awesome, I love that cab with a Subway D800+ on top.

I'm happy with the deal even if I overpaid I don't care I wanted it and I got it, thats just how sick I am!:help: I have been finding Peavey cases too, I think I am almost caught up.

Ahhh, nice! Didn't even know they made the traditional in a 6x10, way cool. Definitely explains the H-W ratio that threw me off. Thought I had missed the boat on them doing a 2x12 traditional cab.

This all started in October 2017. I had stopped playing out when my son was born 17 years earlier and had sold off my gear and 8 basses in that time period. Was asked what I wanted for my birthday, wife agreed to a birthyear bass and an amp. At the urging of my buddy and enabler, TNWOODMAN, he suggested I check out a Squier CV. I bought a CV 60's J and loved it. Then had to have a P to go with so I bought a CV 60's P and it was on. Decided to spend birthyear $$ on a budget basses. Soon it was a mission to get all the CV models released. Had all but one and the 2019 update to the line came around. Have picked up 2 of the 2019+ models. Guess all that said to ask, are there and other Squier collectors here and/or budget collectors?

That's right all packed. But they are where they should be, in the room that is going to be my new studio.
Only four missing from this lot, the ones that are still in use (3 fakes and the Ric). Maybe when the studio is finished I'll make another family shot or at least try to fit them into a picture :woot:

I've been eyeballing at how I'm going to store all my basses. I have a 9 and a 7 rack but obviously that's not enough, doesn't even get to half of what I have.
So I think I'll do a DIY rack as I've seen some interesting ideas that would be usable for me.

That's the first one I saw, easy to make but I think it misses one support to the back of the lower bar.

Kind of like this, which seems more sturdy.

or like this. I like this one very much but the trouble is you have to use a rather big piece of flat wood to make the sides, and there's a lot of waste doing that.

Great thing about doing this myself is that I can make it as big as I like and it saves a LOT of money. Maybe do two for 22 basses per piece, or even stack them one above the other. That would be space saving. The last design would be very well suited for that as you can put it flush against the wall and thus mount the whole stack fixed to the wall. I have 3m high walls so no problem going up. Maybe if I use 2x4 or something like that for the sides I could make it in a storage rack style.
I'm beginning to get the picture...

Just seen another one from someone having a similar idea:

this is made from an Ikea bookshelf system called Ivar. There is cheaper version of that system and I could use the 30 cm depth instead of the here shown 50 cm depth. That would lower the cost, but the greatest thing of this idea is that you can buy all parts of the system separately, so you can make it as big as you like.
This is the one I'm referring to:

Two shelves go at 7€ two posts at 4€, the back cross support won't be needed if fixed to the wall.
I need to calculate how many could fit into the available space between the posts, but even so with probably 3 sections I'll have more than enough for 20+ basses, so doubling that in vertical would do the job.

The 7 rack I have has 9.5cm between each bass. This rack has 75cm between each post, so 7 basses will fit between a set of posts, meaning indeed I'd need 3 sections to get to 21 basses.
Doubling that would store 42 basses, perfect for my 41 basses.
Costs: 4 pair of posts = 16€ + 3 pair of shelves = 21€, double this 37€ and the whole stack would cost 74€
That's hard to beat. And what's even better is that I don't have to buy everything at once. I can start with just one section if I'd want to.
