Do what I did, buy a P bass, then get a Jazz to keep it company. Look on the classifieds here and on craigslist. There are good deals in our current economy.

I have white on it now, but am leaning toward a tort guard. Rosewood fingerboard. The bass is 15 yrs old, so the white pickguard has an aged look to it.

Nevermind. I popped the nut out myself. It is curved.

I just picked up a 1996 MIM Jazz. The action at the nut is way high, and the nut doesn't look the same as my MIM P bass. It just looks like it's not sitting right. I'll probably pick up a replacement nut, but wanted to know if it is curved or flat bottomed on a mid 90's MIM?

My membership in the club wasn't meant to be.... Picked up a 95 MIM Jazz bass for $200 off Craigslist today. I couldn't resist its mojo. The Jaguar will have to wait a while.

Yeah they should have removable rack ears on the sides. I bought a used one that needed a few plastic covers for the eq sliders. I called Hartke and they mailed me a full set of them for free. Give them a call.
