So after considering returning the 112 V-T combo, I am going to keep it. I’m still in the return window until Friday. I bought this a day before the new cabs were announced. It sounds so damn good. It has a deep bass response that my Berg HT112 doesn’t have. Those old cabs are the OG boutique...

Ha, I had a feeling a new cab would drop as soon as I ordered a new combo. Let’s pull out the ol’ calculator… the TV 112 is 24 Lbs and the new ULV is 19.5. So the combos are 27 and 22.5lbs. Is 4 1/2lbs worth it? My combo arrives tomorrow and I could easily return it and wait. I do like the idea...

I’m pretty excited to get the new combo. I have owned the BA since those things came out and have gigged it countless times. My wife actually got it for me for Christmas, and the front array was bent. Jeff called me back the next day and sent a replacement cab out before I had to send the...

Y’all. My wife stole my BA combo. I made the mistake of saying. “Hey, let’s plug your cello into this…” So, I called Gollihur and ordered a MG12VT combo today. That will teach her.

New Music Man Pino Palladino Signature Fretless StingRay

Yeah, I did it really fast so there was plenty of room for error on my part. Willcutt guitars has a fretted one in stock and it’s 9.75. I bought mine there in person long enough ago that the old post with the weight is long gone. They took a pretty good percentage off for me too. It was really...

You made me go to the bathroom… scale. 9.3lbs. I guess that can be considered heavy. I like the sound of heavier basses typically.

Must be the frets :) My fretless is very manageable. I haven’t weighed it, though. It’s definitely lighter than my all maple buzz.

New Music Man Pino Palladino Signature Fretless StingRay

So when I said I would eventually try flats (a couple posts ago) I guess I meant about a week later. I really did like rounds on this bass but flats are my happy place. I put on the lightest gauge Cobalts. I usually use a heavier gauge but I decided to stick close to what came on the bass. They...

New Music Man Pino Palladino Signature Fretless StingRay

As far as worrying about the rosewood and rounds, I think people need to be honest about their playing style. If you’re the type of player who constantly bottoms out the strings into the fingerboard with your right hand, obviously rounds are going to dig out rosewood much faster than ebony. Same...

Getting to know some of it’s teammates. Really great bass. Took it out on a gig the day after buying it, and it sounded and felt amazing. I never would have guessed I liked rosewood with rounds. I have always been an ebony with flats guy. Guess that’s the double bass player in me. I imagine I’ll...

    Keeley Octa Psi

I’m definitely interested in hearing more about this. Octave up is very important to me. I have to play a lot of melody lines in a quartet and it’s nice to kick octave up on to cut. I currently use the OC-5. This is by far my favorite right now. It has the least synthetic digital attack. I dirty...

    Club Moollon

It’s hard to walk around in there, huh? Every square inch has something going on. I loved his old apothecary cabinet behind his station that holds various parts. He didn’t point that out, but my wife knew what it was. That’s awesome you got to go there. Hopefully you have a little bit more time...

Thanks for posting this @SLO Surfer. This all seems reasonable for getting caught up over the next couple years. Glad the truss notch is still available. Kinda wish mine had that.

Go here: https://english.visitseoul.net/shopping/Nagwon-Instrument-Arcade_/9722 The main dealer is called Werock I think. He didn’t have any in stock when I was there months ago. I found mine at another all bass boutique shop there. Just walk around and you’ll find the couple of bass shops...

Finally finished up a run of Jersey Boys. The P Classic was the perfect bass for the job. It was a great big pillow of tone and weight that the other musos could lay their needy heads on. :) Super fun book that has some meat. Love this P bass!!!

Yeah man! I can’t wait to play Jersey Boys on my Moollon P. I have to get through Fiddler on the Roof first… snooze.

Finally got to play the new (to me) P in a rehearsal at volume. Punchy, bloomy, growly. It was divine to just sit on notes and let them envelope. Wow, I’m impressed. I’ve found my P bass.

The neck won me over, and you are spot on with the notes popping off the fingerboard. There is a hint of the classic C# dead spot, but I can absolutely get it to sustain just fine. I was looking for a punchy P and this delivers. So much character. Diamond bass comp with the tilt eq at 10 through...

I’m glad it has honest wear on it. It even has a cigarette burn on the headstock. The wood vibrates like it’s been played constantly for 14 years. Excited for a trio rehearsal this afternoon.

He did a thin base coat of white on this paint job so as it ages a little white shows before the alder.

I’m a new member of the club. (This post might get lengthy) I’ve wanted a P Classic for quite some time. My wife is Korean and we travel there fairly often. A couple weeks ago I decided to go to the Nagwon instrument arcade in Seoul with hopes of tracking one down. I had spoken to Moollon’s main...

    Fodera Monarch P

That’s great to hear that you guys still dig the bass. I’m thinking about ordering one. I do get very scared about dead spots on an ordered bass. No maker truly knows if an instrument will have one. There are educated guesses that some builders are better at than others, but it’s a gamble. I...

Thrilled with this. Bought a nano plus and the equivalent ON Stage board. Kept the On Stage... better bag, slanted, plenty of room underneath for a Strymon Zuma R300 that can plug in from the side, and cheaper! I couldnt have cared less that it was less money, but it’s awesome when the better...

Am I missing something? Why would anyone buy the big version of the Diamond for more money if the Jr. is supposed to be the same?

After years of using a TLC to keep a filter twin in line, I want to change things up. I got a micro Tron and with its volume control and sound I don’t feel the need for a comp after it. I’ve always wanted a diamond and I decided to do a little recent research. Now I’m stuck down this rabbit hole...
