Okay, I get it. But, is there a list of clubs? There should be a sticky thread with a list of clubs right?

"I don't want to belong to any club that will accept people like me as a member."

-- Groucho_Marx of course Is there a sticky that explains clubs? - Is a club just a thread that's titled "club"? - Are there club rules? - Is there an index listing the clubs anywhere? Sorry for the silly questions. Terri

love of Ampeg and other Scroll Basses

Cool! Unfortunately, this was at a guitar show in Vancouver and wasn't much more than a photo op. The bass was for sale at a shop in Victoria BC. The guy said I could have it for $2000. No idea if that's a good price. But a really eye catching bass. Terri

It's too bad that when people have great information like this that it can't be organized into something like a wiki page or the likes. :ninja: This is a great thread! :)

History of the Individual Tailpiece - aka Monobridge

Hi all, I wonder if there is anyone that can help me with the history of the "Individual Tailpiece" Over the past while I've been having some discussion with my friend Nobuaki Hayashi (aka H.Noble) who is the president of Atlansia and former Matsumoku designer that designed a number of...

    Buying a bass in Canada

Before you take any guitar or bass through US Customs you may want to check out the Lacey Act. There have been stories going around claiming that instruments have been seized at the boarder because they may contain restricted types of wood. I remember a story about someone losing a Gibson...

    Logical Rickenbacker Copy

Who would be your "Bass Pope"?

A bassist friend suggested Les Claypool, since he would be able wear one of those pope-ish hats and do it with style.

Who would be your "Bass Pope"?

Since the world is waiting for the next pope to be elected. If you had to vote for a Bass Pope, who would you vote for? Doesn't have to be Catholic. Just a godlike bass player. :)

Has anyone had experience with this bass?

I love Warwick basses. And love the sound of fretless. But this is a Rock Bass, I believe. Which is Warwick's budget brand. In the end if you love it, it sounds good, plays good and you can afford it, why not go for it?

@NYCbassist. Sadowsky is an interesting one. IMO I usually think of Japanese builders as having more consistent quality than the US ones. But I was playing a Metro in a store one day thinking it was very nice, until I was told it was the cheaper offshore model. Totally in your head, I'm...

Are you looking for options for other instruments? A number of years ago I bought a Warwick Corvette Proline 5. Ash body and active Bartolini's. At one point we did a recording test with it and and few other basses. The Warwick was hands down the best sounding. IMO. Used, these are not...
