I noticed on the Prodigy head I'm purchasing, that the gain isn't push pull nor does it say push pull like the pictures or info on the mesa web site. Is their any benefit to the gain boost? Is the head I'm buying from my local dealer possibly a first batch? Should I ask for a new head shipped...

Check out Serek Basses. I ordered a custom Midwestern, with a pair of novak bs/ds pickups and a fuzz tone built in. The bass goes from nice punchy clear to thunder of the Gods low. Jake is a good guy to work with as well.

The HBE Hematoma is an overdrive/boost, I think it gives out a dark somewhat tubey overdrive. 1 thing though the boost of the Hematoma does wonders with the WHSP, but thats just my opinion
